Steep is the quintessential storefront theatre – that iconic breed of Chicago theatre that makes our cultural landscape unlike that of any other city. Steep is committed to producing new and under-produced plays that tell the stories of ordinary people in extraordinary situations – small stories that illuminate larger societal issues.

As Executive Director, I collaborated with Artistic Director Peter Moore to produce and support theatre that stoked conversations about the issues and conditions that are part of all of our lives. We led the company through a period of extraordinary organizational and artistic growth and development that culminated in the purchase of Steep’s new home at 1044 W Berwyn Ave in the Edgewater neighborhood of Chicago.
